Sam has an excellent post about Windows 2003 Server. It's about time that we look at what we have now rather than point to the distant future (Longhorn, etc.).
I had been looking forward to this OS for over a year like everyone else, always installing the betas and release candidates throughout its constant name-changing days. I couldn't wait until it was released in order to look at the first OS with native .Net Framework installed, IIS 6.0, security features, etc. Now its here, I am running it and love the environment more and more everyday. Except for a few articles, all we hear is how great Longhorn will be, but not enough about how great Windows 2003 Server is today.
Well said, Sam!
