I almost forgot about these resources in my last post that have been helpful to me:
Applying COMPlus - This book by Gregory Brill was very helpful to me in setting up Role-Based Security in COMPlus about 8 months ago for a client.
COM and .NET Component Services - This book by Juval Lowy was also helpful to me 8 months ago. In particular, he also has a great section on Serviced Components (.Net). He has written an updated book Programming .NET Components, but I haven't read this one yet to be able to determine coverage of Enterprise Services.
On the VB side, from MTS to COMPlus, this was the best book I have read:
Effective Visual Basic: How to Improve Your VB/COMPlus Applications - A review of this book again is proving helpful in converting some current MTS components to COMPlus, and then later to be integrated into .Net Enterprise Services (through COM Interop or a complete rewrite using C#).
